XSitePro Is Fantastic
I hate to admit it, but the main Swiftdeal web site has been looking a bit tired lately. It's been a couple of years since it was last updated design-wise. I like to try and keep my sites looking as fresh as possible, so I decided to tidy it up a bit.
I re-designed the site using XSitePro. This is a fantastic new tool, as I am design challenged. I know exactly what I want to see on the pages, but I don't have the skills in PhotoShop to make it happen :0( (not yet anyway).
So when I heard everyone raving about XSitePro, I just had to check it out. It is so easy to use, it's unbelievable. It actually comes with a 300+ page manual, but I've yet to look at that. Haven't needed to yet.
I know my way around FrontPage fairly well, and have basic HTML and CSS knowledge, but XSitePro takes all that hassle away. In fact, I rebuilt the entire site within an hour! I've used one of their basic templates for now, but I intend to change that at a later date. It's no problem to XSitePro though, because I can simply choose a new 'skin' and import the current site into it. Totally redesigned in seconds!
XSitePro really comes into it's own if you are building content sites, though. It builds your navigation on the fly, so adding new pages takes seconds. There are templates in there that make it very easy to add articles pages, with resource boxes and built-in Google AdSense ads. All you actually need to do is fill in the blanks. It really is so simple.
If you haven't already seen XSitePro in action, I suggest you take a look at their site, read through some of the forum posts, and then go and get your copy. You won't be sorry, I promise!
