Learn To Flip Sites And Earn Big Income

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

While it may have a weird sounding name, but have no doubt that flipping websites is one of the most lucrative online business we have today. And the fun part of it is that you do not need a huge capital to get started. All you need is your own website that has a good enough standing in the search results, preferably for a set of keywords that are deemed important by other people. Because when you have such a website then you can sell it, or flip it as they say, to somebody else who is more than willing to pay for a good amount of price for it. But to achieve all of these you must first learn to flip sites effectively.

So how does website flipping actually works? We can compare it someone who goes into buy and sell, whether a home or a car. In the case of site flipping, you purchase a domain then create a website for it. You create all the content, set it up for search engine optimization, help make it rank for your targeted keywords, and continue to do so for a few months to even a year. When you have felt that your website has gained considerable ground in terms of online reputation, ranking in the search results, and other important seo and internet marketing factors, then it is time to put it up for sale.

When someone finally buys the website, he will then continue with managing it and not merely owning it. Because what’s the use of buying an already established site if you are not going to continue where it has left off. While that may sound an easy task for the new owner, it is far from it. Because he has to main the stats of that website and even better, to improve on it. He has to maintain the traffic and again, even better if he can increase it. The easy part about it is that the website is already existing and is complete for him to run.

For further education so you can learn the best ways to flip websites, you should read or follow those who have successfully made a business out of flipping. Thesse people are often always willing to extend their hands in helping the new ones to get started with this kind of online venture. Most share their ideas and experience through their websites or blogs. While others are frequent forum contributors, as they share their knowledge and answer the questions posed by others. For example, even if you have some questions about the niche you are targeting, they will be willing to give you advice on whether it is a good niche or if you should just find another one.

Another way is to join specific forums that deal with site flipping. There are many out there and they are usually within the real of internet marketing because these two are not really so much different from each other. You can actually categorize website flipping as part of internet marketing.

Lastly, you must start to do it yourself. Do your own keyword and niche research, settle on your set of keywords and the niche, buy your domain and hosting, create your website and fill it up with relevant content. Then conduct search engine optimization for it. Because for you to learn to flip sites, it is best that you get your hands dirty and learn how the thing really works first hand.

How to Generate Cash from Flipping Domains

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Would you like to know what domain flipping is? With the act of domain flipping, you buy a domain name for a website and then sell it to someone else. The main goal with flipping domains is to make a profit by making more money off the sale of the domains than you originally spent on them. You’ll often find that flipping is very popular in all types of sales. Even real estate moguls practice flipping. Flipping domain names can be done as a side business, and that’s the nicest thing about it. Like most business ventures, it’s all about how much work you put into it. Here are a few ways that you can increase the profits you earn from buying and selling domain names.

Work smarter not harder. If you haven’t been earning any money by what you’ve been doing, you might want to try something else. If they’re not working for you, don’t use the same methods. Try to save time while still putting domain names out there. The best path to take to become a power seller is to find someone who has achieved that status and then model your business like theirs. Copy what they have done correctly and learn from their mistakes, while trying not to repeat them yourself. Eventually you’ll find methods that work best for what you’re trying to accomplish. You should create a website for your domain selling business. You can use this website to present the domains you are selling. It should also talk about you and your business policies. You can create a credible face for your business. A potential customer will trust a seller with a professional online presence and website much more. Simply posting on a forum and sending a few e-mails is not sufficient to make the sale. At times it needs a little more effort. Even more importantly, a website will enable you to market to a larger audience than if you were attempting to sell individual domains.

Make certain that you price your domain appropriately. You will find it hard to turn a large profit on a domain that has never hosted a site. It is still possible to make money but you must be certain to set appropriate prices. An unused domain is unlikely to net a return of hundreds of dollars. Losing the sale is quite likely if your domains are priced too high. On the other hand, if you don’t price your domains high enough you could end up losing money. Pay attention to how other types of domain names are priced and use that as a guideline when you are deciding how much you want to ask for the domain names you are putting up for sale.

A perfectly legitimate way to make online money is to flip domain names. Truthfully, because it is so simple to do, some internet marketers flip domain names in their free time in order to make extra cash. Buying and selling domain names can earn you quite a nice piece of change if you are willing to put in the extra effort. You can approach this activity in many different ways. The more work you put into it, the more you will get out of it.

Blog Flipping Project – Update

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Recently I mentioned that I had bought www.avoid-debt.com so that I could flip it. I’ve now added some more content to it, and found a new theme for it. Let me know what you think of the new theme.

I’ve been looking at more ways to promote it around the web, and am hoping the traffic will build slowly. I’ve also added a Clickbank affiliate product, and will track how that fares.

AuctionTechniques.com for sale

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

I’ve tried to sell www.auctiontechniques.com/ before, but set a reserve price on it. This time, it WILL SELL. The reserve price is also the starting bid, which is a ridiculously low $25 (US). For everything that’s included in the sale, that’s almost STEALING IT!!!

Re designing First Date Ideas web site, ready for flipping

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Just recently, I’ve been thinking about my domain portfolio. The problem I have is that the sites are too varied to properly link together. Each one has it’s own niche, and each one requires promotion in it’s own way.

For this reason, I am working to sell off a few of my sites.

However, before I can do this, I need to make them more appealing to potential buyers.

The first site I want to ‘flip’ is First Date Ideas. The site is currently built using XSitePro, and does have some good search engine results for the main search term, “first date ideas“.

Here’s a Google results page. This shows the site at position #3 out of over 13 million results. That’s a good response.

Now, I intend to redesign the site so it provides more income via Adsense and affiliate links. Once I can show a stead income stream from the site, it will enable me to define it’s overall value to potential buyers.
