How to Get the Most From Site Flipping With These Three Easy Tips

Friday, May 27th, 2011

Website flipping isn’t just buying and selling websites, but rather it’s a business like any other that requires one to work hard and learn the proper techniques that make everything work. If you want to succeed in this tricky but lucrative business, follow the following three tips and you’ll go far. 5 Minute Membership Sites Bonus

When people leave high bids on sites, it’s usually because the seller has provided proof of just how much traffic that site gets on a daily or weekly basis. Google Analytics Data is perfect for this. Many of the serious buyers will want to have a look at this data before they actually make their offer.

Potential buyers can then take this information and they can determine the traffic you get and match it to how much money you say your site makes. Not only that but it’s much better to give your potential buyers complete access to the analytics data so that they can research the site’s earning potential themselves. This will alleviate the need to use screenshots to let them know what kind of data your site is getting. Your buyers are going to want at least six months of data from your Google Analytics account, so make sure you install the tracking program from the moment your site goes online.

A common mistake is to sell websites the same days that you create them. There are too many e-books out there being sold that falsely educate people to create free WordPress blogs, work on them for a minimal amount of time, and then sell those blogs the very next day. This tactic used to work long back when people were going crazy over AdSense, but nowadays, buyers have become a lot more smarter. For a website to sell today, it must have traffic coming in and it must already be making money. You might get lucky and sell a new site every now and again, but you’re probably not going to make much money so it won’t be worth it. This is why you should always take your website and hold on to it for a bit , put some effort into it, and then sell it. Don’t think that you have to hold on to it for years and years, as just a few months will do. This is how to work smarter with website flipping, instead of those people who don’t work smarter who don’t make nearly as much money. 5 Minute Membership Sites Review

Last but definitely not least, website flipping is a very lucrative industry, and it’s important to have that viewpoint. Don’t just set your goals small, as you should set them as high as you desire. You can literally make a million dollars just by website flipping if you do it the right way, that’s how lucrative this industry can be. And yet you will constantly find those newbie site flippers who set their goals much too low and they never expect to make any more than 300 a week. When you have such tiny goals, it gets difficult to scale up, especially when you know you can.

In conclusion, website flipping must be looked at as any other type of business in that it’s going to take lots of time and hard work for it to finally pay off. It will take time to get used to the way site flipping works, but once you get it you won’t want to turn back and that’s when the money will start rolling in.

Blog Flipping Project – Update

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Recently I mentioned that I had bought www.avoid-debt.com so that I could flip it. I’ve now added some more content to it, and found a new theme for it. Let me know what you think of the new theme.

I’ve been looking at more ways to promote it around the web, and am hoping the traffic will build slowly. I’ve also added a Clickbank affiliate product, and will track how that fares.

AuctionTechniques.com for sale

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

I’ve tried to sell www.auctiontechniques.com/ before, but set a reserve price on it. This time, it WILL SELL. The reserve price is also the starting bid, which is a ridiculously low $25 (US). For everything that’s included in the sale, that’s almost STEALING IT!!!

Re designing First Date Ideas web site, ready for flipping

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Just recently, I’ve been thinking about my domain portfolio. The problem I have is that the sites are too varied to properly link together. Each one has it’s own niche, and each one requires promotion in it’s own way.

For this reason, I am working to sell off a few of my sites.

However, before I can do this, I need to make them more appealing to potential buyers.

The first site I want to ‘flip’ is First Date Ideas. The site is currently built using XSitePro, and does have some good search engine results for the main search term, “first date ideas“.

Here’s a Google results page. This shows the site at position #3 out of over 13 million results. That’s a good response.

Now, I intend to redesign the site so it provides more income via Adsense and affiliate links. Once I can show a stead income stream from the site, it will enable me to define it’s overall value to potential buyers.
